Jennifer is an employment lawyer at Ryan Edmonds Workplace Counsel, a boutique employment firm located in downtown Toronto that provides workplace services to employers and employees. She has appeared at numerous courts and tribunals, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Prior to that she worked in the public sector for nearly three years practicing employment, human rights, and workers’ compensation law.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law and Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. At McGill, she majored in political science with a concentration in Canadian politics.
Her personal project, Deliberate Discourse, encompasses her writing on Medium, Quora, and former newsletter, which dives into productivity and personal finance. Her writing has been read over 1.4 million times in the last two years, received praise from Arianna Huffington, and garnered attention from NBC, CBC, CTV, The Financial Diet, Thought Catalog, Paper & Coin, and other media outlets.
